Description The meta description is the second most important tag in the head area, only the title matters more. In many respects writing a description tag is much like writing a title tag, so much of this information has been used in the previous step. If you've ever used a search engine (such as the one built into this page), you'll have seen that it returns not just the title of each webpage, but also a description. Some search engines get the description from the description meta tag. So it is a good idea to have one! Describe in 25 words or less why someone would want to visit your webpage, rather then all the other web pages in the search results (a good ranking won't help if people don't click through to your webpage!) You'll get a better ranking if your keyword is in the description. Also, the sooner it appears, the better (this goes for all places where you mention your keyword). Try to start your description off with your keyword. <title>Getting customers</title> Description Length
Now write 2 or 3 descriptions integrating
some of these “compelling” words with your targeted keyword phase. Look
at the descriptions you have created and ask your self these questions
about each one.
